Product description3M™ VHB 4932 Double-Sided Tape with Acrylic Foam Adhesive Core The high-performance acrylic foam tapes developed by 3M™ are part of the VHB system, an abbreviation for "Very High Bond" connections. These products are used today in bonding technology to replace tasks that were previously performed using spot welding, clips, rivets, or screws. Using a special 3M™ technology, a high-quality acrylic adhesive is applied in a closed-cell form as the adhesive core. This core, together with the two adhesive sides, forms a homogeneous unit. This construction gives the product viscoelastic properties, meaning that the Acrylic Foam flows into all gaps and recesses of the surfaces being bonded, creating a 100% contact. Additionally, Acrylic Foam products offer excellent peel resistance of the adhesive core, balanced shear and peel strength, high initial tack, and adhesion power. They are also resistant to moisture, UV rays, and most hydrocarbons.
