Product Description
2B Electro Tape 1018 is a Kapton polyimide film, single-sided coated with a silicone adhesive. The tape is versatile for protective and electrical insulation applications in high-temperature environments (180°C H).
Applications
- Masking of printed circuit boards during soldering, with residue-free removal
- Electrical insulation for coils, transformers, conductors, and cables in class H (180°C) applications
- Bundling and securing components (e.g., thermostats) exposed to high temperatures
Properties
- Very good adhesive strength across a wide temperature range
- High dielectric strength and can be easily peeled off
- Chemical resistance
- Good resistance to most alcohols, esters, ketones, and oils
- Temperature resistance: 180°C continuous - Heat class H
